How it works

How to create a skill test with AI

You don't start from a blank page or a generic template library. Describe the role, and Talent Approved's Magic Create drafts a complete, role-specific multiple-choice test you can review, edit, and reuse.

Describe the role - or paste a job description

Open Magic Create and tell it what you need - for example, "Create 5 questions for a senior frontend developer covering Vue 3 and TypeScript, then 3 on CI/CD with GitHub Actions." You can paste a full job description or a skills list instead.

Already generated questions elsewhere, like in ChatGPT? Paste the questions and answers and Magic Create splits them into clean, structured pairs - no reformatting by hand.

Prompt Magic Create in plain language, or paste questions you already have.

Review and edit before anything goes live

Magic Create returns a full draft: each question gets answer options with exactly one marked correct, plus a suggested tag (it reuses your existing tags when they fit). Nothing is published automatically.

Edit any question with the rich-text editor - bold, lists, inline code, and full code blocks are supported - change the correct answer, adjust tags, or delete questions you don't want. Then save them to your library.

Every question is editable - rich text, code blocks, tags, and the correct answer.

Build a reusable question library

Every question lives in your workspace's question library, organized by tag. Questions support rich formatting and code, so technical screening reads exactly the way it should.

Filter by tag, bulk-select, and reuse the same questions across multiple tests. Prefer to write your own? Create questions manually any time - Magic Create and hand-authoring share the same library.

Tag questions once and reuse them across any number of tests.

Assemble a test in seconds from tags

A test suite bundles the questions you'll send to candidates. The fastest way to build one is to import every question that matches a set of tags - pick "React" and "CI/CD" and the matching questions drop straight in.

Set a name and description, choose how long candidates get per question, and create the test. You can add or remove individual questions any time.

Pull in every question matching a set of tags - the fastest way to build a test.

Configure timing, randomization, and proctoring

In the test editor you control how the assessment runs: a per-question timer, randomized answer order to reduce sharing, whether to require the candidate's email, and whether to require continuous webcam recording for higher-stakes roles.

Reorder questions by drag-and-drop, toggle individual questions on or off, and enable a regenerable shared assessment link when you'd rather hand out one link than invite people one by one.

Per-test settings: timer, randomized answers, required email, webcam proctoring, and a shareable link.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit AI-generated questions?

Yes. Magic Create only drafts the test - you review and edit every question, answer, tag, and the correct answer before saving. Nothing is published automatically.

Can I paste questions I already wrote?

Yes. Paste questions and answers from ChatGPT, a spreadsheet, or a document and Magic Create splits them into clean question-and-answer pairs you can refine.

Do the tests support code snippets?

Yes. Questions, answers, and explanations support rich text including inline code and multi-line code blocks, which is ideal for developer and technical screening.

Can I reuse questions across multiple tests?

Yes. Questions live in a tagged question library at the workspace level, so you can reuse and recombine them across as many tests as you like.
